sir
the ques is
a function is:
a[1]*x^n +a[2]*x^(n-1)+----------a[n+1]
"[ ]" denotes subscript
if the maximum number of distinct roots be M& minimum be N
Find M-N
please explain lucidly

Dear Respected Sir Sujoy:
please post lucidly.

Mr. Sujay
Fundamental Theorem of Algebra: A non-constant polynomial p(z) with real or complex coefficients has at least one root in the complex plane.
Thus to be non-constant in your case we must have n≥1.
Thus, you have at least one root and at most n.
So M-N=n-1.

At least it is an interesting question!
I suspect those who post a string of questions that very wildly in difficulty.
Then it happens that the person will say, “I see now” or “will take from there”.
At the same time the same person will be completely stumped by a trivial question.

pka, I'm almost certain Sujay is a prankster I came across a couple
of times in the past.
In one case, he took on the part of a Native from Northern British Columbia,
using lines like "in my culture, the Village Elder...".

In Sujay's case, I can see the same trend...

respected sir
I am thankful to you sir PKA for your "generous service"
and to you sir Denis --- now you know that this is not a problem of
a joker.
IT COULD NEVER BE MY OPTION TO TEASE THE "MESSAGE BOARD "
WITH NONSENSE QUESTIONS-----I UNDERSTAND THE PURITY OF THE BOARD & I POST ACCORDINGLY
WITH REGARDS
Sujoy

Well, you're a joker or you're not (I happen to think you are);
your use of "respected Sir" all over the joint is the main cause.

If you join me for coffee and open the conversation with "good
morning, respected Sir Denis", I'll change tables and will not
pay for your coffee :)
