At what points does the curve

x = t
y = 0
z = 2 - t^2

intersect the paraboloid

z = x^2 + y^2

?

Do I just need to pick a value for t and then change the form of the equation?

You have x, y, and z in terms of t. What's stopping you from substituting and solving?
