Find the slope of the line that goes through the given points and write an equation in poin-slope forn abd slope-intercept form.

(-2,5) (-1,-4)

I changed it to slope intecept form :

-4- (-5) = 14+5= 9 =9
-1-(-2) = -1+ 2=1

So my slope is 9

Please Help. Thank you so much

"Slope-intercept form" refers to line equations, not to points, so I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean when you say that you "changed" the points to slope-intercept form.

To find the slope through two points, (x<sub>1</sub>, y<sub>1</sub>) and (x<sub>2</sub>, y<sub>2</sub>), just plug the x- and y-values into the slope formula:

. . . . .m = [y<sub>1</sub> - y<sub>2</sub>] / [x<sub>1</sub> - x<sub>2</sub>] = [y<sub>2</sub> - y<sub>1</sub>] / [x<sub>2</sub> - x<sub>1</sub>]

The only real significance of the subscripts is to remind you to subtract the x's in the same order that you subtracted the y's.
