THE QUESTION IN THE BOOK IS:
WRITE AN EQUATION FOR THE LINE THAT IS:
A) PARALLEL TO X = 3 AND PASSES THROUGH POINT (-4, 3)

Parallel to the line x=3, right?

Recall that x=3 is a vertical line passing through the points (3,0), (3,1), (3,2), (3,100000), etc. The parallel line passing through (-4,3) also passes through (-4,2), (-4,4), (-4,1000000), etc, and its equation is x=-4.

If you talking about graph x=3 mean that you have to look for the x axis the nuber three.
The points (-4,3 ) means looking for the rise and run that give you the slope which mean that the result is going to be y= 4/3x+-4. :roll:

Hey Cushy, this is the 2nd time you've posted this at end of someone else's post;
that's a NO-NO; start a new post!
And tell us the number of sides in an octagon.
