hey thx to those who read this and especiallyy to those who help i need help solving the problems below and sum advice and tricks on how 2 remember wouldn't hurt either

1) factor by grouping: such as 3x^4+3x^3-6x^2-6x

2) finding the vertex in standard form:f(x)=2x^2+16x+23

3) all the info on logorithims: condensing, expanding, olving for, power, product, quotients

once again thx, u can also im me on aim sn:esam415

3x^4+3x^3-6x^2-6x
[3x^4+3x^3] - [6x^2+6x] factor each bracket
3x^3 [x+1] -6x[x+1] factor out [x+1]
[x+1][3x^3-6x] factor out 3x
3x [x+1][x-2] answer

to prove the answer multiply it out to see if you get the original

y-k=p[x-m]^2 standard form

y=2x^2+16x+23 factor out 2
y=2 [x^2+8x ] + 23
complete the square of terms in the bracket by adding and subtracting [8/2]^2
y=2[x^2+8x+16]-2[16] +23
y=2[x^2+8x+16]-9
y+9 =2[x+4]^2 a parabola open up vertex at -4,-9

Are you serious?
You can learn that stuff in your math classroom, not here.

The volunteers here can help students work through specific difficulties, but this assistance assumes that the student has at least some grasp of the underlying material. Unfortunately, we cannot actually teach that material.

To obtain the lessons you seek, please consider using a search engine to find topic-specific lessons, or else hire a tutor and spend a few hours a week (daily would be best) in face-to-face consultation. If you work hard, you should be able to master this material inside a month.

Try online lessons, such as this one.

Part of the reason that logs comprised a whole chapter (or most of one) in your text, and probably a month or so in your class, was that they cannot be "done" in a simple "fifty words or less" forum posting. Sorry! :oops:

My best wishes to you in your studies.

I think you made an error in your last line.
