Please Help Percentage Question

I am sure this is simple for all of you but it is blowing my mind. Been a while since high school. Here goes.

You have 26 balls which represent 100% of the balls. If 9 of those balls are red what percentage of the 100% is red. If 7 are yellow what percent are yellow, if 5 are blue what percent of the 100% are blue. I hope you understand what I am asking. I cant remember for the life of me how to figure this out. Thanks for your help.

Percent means 'for every 100'. If you do the ratio of the amount you have of something divided by all that you have, 9 red balls out of 26 would be 9 divided by 26, you would have the fractional amount 'for every 1'. So to get percent, just multiple the answer by 100, i.e. to 3 decimal places
9/26 = 0.346
so the percent of red balls is 34.6 percent.
