The problem is :

On a game show, a constetant must guess a secret number is two-digit number. The Secret number is 23.Write an ineqaulity that shows that the contestant's guess is more thatn 12 numbers away from the secret number.

I don't quite understand the problem.
I know that it has a inequality sign in it.but like the numbers are what i don't get.Sorry but i'm not looking for an answer i just need help understanding the problem. Thanks

If 'n' is the number selected...

More than 12 less: 23 - n > 12

More than 12 more: n - 23 > 12 or -12 > 23 - n

You get to introduce the Absolute Values and write the unified expression.
