If it takes pipe M 36hrs to fill up one tank and it takes pipe N to fill one up in a certain time. If both open simultaniously how long will it take pipe M and N to fill up one tank in 24hrs. How much does pipe N fill up by itself.

N can do 1/n jpbs in 1 hour.

Together, they can do 1/24 jobs in 1 hour.

1/36 + 1/n = 1/24
