I really need help on this math problem. I have no clue on how to do it. Here it is:



Solve for the indicated variable.


P = 3r + 2s; for s
 
To solve for a variable, you have to first isolate it on one side of the equation.
So: Subtract P from both sides, and add 2s to each sde.
Now, you should have -2s = 3r - P.

From hear, you want to remove all constants from the variable solved for, so you divide both sides by -2 to get:

s = -3r/2 + p/2

Note that dividing by -2, the signs on each side will be switched due to the negative.
