I promise this is the last one I ask for help on!

I don't know how to set this up or what formula to use.....

Bottle A contains an 90% acid solution. Bottle B contains a 30% solution of the same acid. How many cc from bottle A should be mixed with solution from bottle B to make 40 cc of a mixture which is 40% acid?

I did it with one example in my book and the answer I got was 20/3, now i know I am not using the right formula or something.

Thanks, Josh!

On what basis do you "know" that you're not doing this correctly?

Please reply showing your work, in order that we can check it. Thank you.

Eliz.
