Find an equation of the line that satisfies the given condition.

1)The line passing through the point (a,b) with slope equal to zero.
2)The line passing through (-3,4) AND PARALLEL TO THE X-AXIS.
3)The line passing through (-5,-4) and parallel to the line passing through (-3,2) and (6,8)
4)The line passing through (a,b) with undefined slope.
5) Given that the point P(-3,5) lies on the line kx+3y+9=o find k.
6)Given the point P(2,-3) lies on the line -2x+ky+10=0 find k.

Thank You
Sincerely
Gabriel

We can't see where you are stuck if you do not show your work.

Some hints.

What do we mean by the slope of a line?

How do we compute the slope of a line?

How do we put a linear equation into a form where the slope is directly obtainable from the equation itself?

I dont know how to solve it. Cant even get started.
I wrote down all I could! It says it on the paper the same way!

Did you answer the questions Jeff had asked you as hints:

Then what is going on here? Apparently you are taking a course, or studying a subject, in which you are asked to find the slope of a line but you say you don't know what that means??

If I were taking a course in which I was asked to find the "amberosc" and had NO idea what an "amberosc" was, I would NOT ask "how do I do this problem. My first question would be "what does this mean?". My first step, then, would to look in the index of my textbook or scan through the section in which the problem occurred. If I could not find it, I would ask my teacher.

(Yes, I just made up the word "amberosc".)
