If one of the equal legs of an isoceles triangle is three times as long as the other side and the perimeter equals 21, how long is the other leg?

I set this up using X as the unknown leg, then 3X for each of the equal legs, so that 3x + 3x + x = 21; so, 7x = 21. Dividing out, x = 3........then if you plug in 3 for x, each of the equal legs = 9 and the other leg is 3. Adding 9 + 9 + 3, you get 21 for the perimeter. Is this correct? Thanks :)

Why are you questioning?

You set it up.
You solved it.
You checked it.
You're done! Good work.

thanks

Thanks, I wasn't sure if I was doing that right. Have a great night/day...
