I need help!!!!!
This is directly off of my sheet, and I can't quite seem to have any solutions. I am supposed to be in Accl. Geomerty, but this is review in that class, and I was never good at lines, slopes, and coordinate planes.
"Find equations in slope intercept form of the lines through the point P that are (a) Parallel to, and (b) perpendicular to, the line L

Problem # 1: P(0, 5); L: 14x + 4y = 26

Problem # 2: P(2, 5); L: y = -3

Probelm # 3: P(4, 7); L: 4x + -2y = 7

Problem # 4: P(2, -4); L: -6x = 5y + 18"

As you can see, i am at a loss! I need help, and fast! :x

Here is one.
Problem # 1: P(0, 5); L: 14x + 4y = 26
The slope of L is (-14/4) or (-7/2).
Parallel lines have the same slope.
Perpendicular lines have slope that multiply to –1: in this case (2/7)
Parallel line to L : y=(-7/2)x+5.
Perpendicular line to L: y=(2/7)x+5.
