Explain how the following functions can be obtained from y=e^x by basic transformations.

a. y=e^-x-1

b. y=-e^x+1

c. y=-e^(x-3)-2

please help me i dont know what this is asking or how to do it!!

It sounds as if you are being asked to tell what the function does, like how it moves from it's original position when changed to these new functions. For example, if you graph y=ex, you get a line that curves up as it continues to the right. There is a verticle and a horizonatal asymptote. But how will the graph look if you graph
y=e-x-1? How will it change? Does it move left or right? How far? Does it get wider or steeper?
I think that's what you're being asked here.
