I have until friday to get this i really need help, it says classify it as monomial, binomial or tri nomial and i'm struggling with it.
Also i have a huge problem with expressions like this.
x^3-5x^2+4xy^2+y^3-(8x^3+x^2+y-11xy^2+y^3)

x^3-5x^2+4xy^2+y^3-(8x^3+x^2+y-11xy^2+y^3)

"mono" means 1, "bi" means 2, and "tri" means 3.
So a "monomial" is a polynomial that has only one term, like "3x^2". A "binomial" has two terms, like "x^3- 2x", and a "trinomial" has three terms, like "x^2- 2x+ 4".

Now what are you to do with that expression? Do the arithmetic? Combine "like terms":
(x^3- 8x^3)+ (-5x^2- x^2)+ (4xy^2- 11xy^2)+ (y^3- y^3)- x^2- y
