Solve each equation or formula for the variable specified

Confused :roll: please help.

g does not equal 1/4 but it is related to the other variable of "h"

g = (-1/4)h

this means if h = 8 then

g = (-1/4)8
g = -2

So you can place and value of h into the above equation to find the related g value (and visa versa)

P.S. to Denis: I once had a college student, all attitude, finally manage to release the tension she'd created in class. After not keeping up for about twenty minutes, she angrily interrupted instruction to shout, "Fine! 'Two plus two'! But where'd you get 'four'?!?" I remember once working out a formula for the number of squares left
(checkerboard-like thing) after removing the 4 corner squares.
Someone told me: wrong! With a 2 by 2, your formula returns zero :idea:
