I'm not sure how much help this "friend" was, if you still have "no clue" how to do any aspect of writing proofs...?

Since we cannot teach you the week or two of necessary material, please see if the following is helpful:

. . . . .Ask Dr. Math FAQ: About Proofs

If you are still entirely lost after studying the above, then please consider hiring a tutor (somebody qualified, who will really help you, so you really learn the topic). By spending a few hours a week (daily would be best) in face-to-face sessions, you may be able to get caught up to where you need to be in only a few weeks.

The above contains a 1.15-meg image (in other words, way too big a file) which is set to display as 256-by-125 pixels (in other words, way too small an image for the half-page to be legible).

Please reply with a typed-out version of the actual question, using the formatting explained in the link in the "Read Before Posting!" thread you read before posting here. Either include a clear description of any necessary graphic, or else please post a link to a pared-down file set to display a larger image. (Doubling the display size, at a minimum, while optimizing the file to be less than one or two hundred kilobytes, would be great.) :p

Thank you! :D
