Please help me to solve this problem

solve the equation: x+1/4 =1/6 +2-x/3
Lacking grouping symbols, what you have posted means the following:

. . . . .\(\displaystyle x\, +\, \frac{1}{4}\, =\, \frac{1}{6}\, +\, 2\, -\, \frac{x}{3}\)

Is this what you meant?

Also, what help are you needing? Have you gotten halfway through but ground to a halt? Did you finish, but your answer doesn't match the back of the book? Did you miss last week's classes, so you're needing lessons? Or something else?

Thank you.

\(\displaystyle x+\frac{1}{4}=\frac{1}{6}+2-\frac{x}{3}=>x+\frac{x}{3}=\frac{1}{6}+2-\frac{1}{4}=>\frac{4x}{3}=2-\frac{1}{12}=>\frac{4x}{3}=\frac{23}{12}=>12*4x=23*3=>16x=23=>x=\frac{23}{16} \)
