3 - 6

y - (-2) + (-2) = -2/3x -6+ (-2)

y= -2/3x + 7 <-- my answer.

so you multiply whats in the brackets

Another mistake:

y - (-2) = -2/3(x - 6)
y - (-2) -2/3x -6

The distributive property of multiplication says you need to multiply 2/3 by x and -6, not just by x.

y - (-2) = 2/3(x - 6)
y - (-2) = 2/3 * x - 2/3 * 6
