let f(x) = 3x * 2
let g(x) = 2x + 3

what is f * g * f * g * f * g * f * 2?

(the astricks meaning to multiply)

please help me...i'm sure this equation is calculus...

got news for you, Zeke ... it ain't calculus and it ain't an equation ... it's just a plain ole' algebraic expression.

first of all, let's clear up some notation ambiguities ...

f(x) = 3x*2 = 6x ... unless you meant something else

g(x) = 2x + 3

f * g * f * g * f * g * f * 2 = [f(x)]4*[g(x)]3*2 = (6x)4*(2x + 3)3*2

oh and also the answer needs to be in fraction, not decimal form

don't know what you mean by this ... there are no fractions to deal with.

f times two equals 12x

times g equals 24xsquared plus 36x

times f equals 144xcubed plus 216xsquared

...and thats wut i've done so far.... so can you please help with the rest

oh and about the fraction thing .... i just need the decimal to be converted to a fraction

There aren't any decimals, either.

Eliz.

ok well i see that there are no fractions or decimals i was just told that the answer had to be in a fraction form but i guess it doesnt matter if i just get the answer however someone can give me

As mentioned in another of your posts of this exercise, until we have the instructions, there is nothing to "solve" here.

Please reply with the full and exact text of the exercise, the complete instructions, and a clear listing of what you have tried. Thank you.

Eliz.
