I came across my paystub and brought this up to my supervisor.
My Base pay is a 31.44
Overtime is 1.5 (base pay) = $47.16 ( should be*)
now the way it’s calculated on my pay stub is
Regular hours. - 18 ($31.44) = $754.55
Overtime - 18 ($31.44) = $565.91
”OvertimePremium” - 18($42.20) (.5)= $379.82
Double time - 6($31.44)(2)= $377.38
this where I saw a problem if they are already paying 18$ @ $31.44
The overtime premium should be paid @ $18(47.16)(.5) correct ?
31.44(1.5) 47.16 hence 1.5(base)
Yet when I simply add 18(31.44)(1.5)= $848.88
but when you separate the whole from the half and add them together
18(31.44). =565.91
18(31.44)(.5)=379.82
=945.73
which would appear they are over paying me at a lesser rate of $42.20 instead of $47.16 Somethings not adding up and there has to be an explanation please help anyone !!!
