Please help solve this. I tried using the guess and check process, but none of my answers work. :( Thank you for your time and help! :D

Five integers have an average of 69. The median is 83. The mode is 85. The range of the five integers is 70. What is the second smallest of the five integers?

At least two out of the five numbers have to be 85 since the mode is 85. 83 has to be the middle number because the median is 83. The smallest value has to be 85-70=15 because the range is 70.

So you have: (15+x+83+85+85)/5 = 69, where x is the second term

Solve for x.

Thanks dagr8est! Now that I know how to solve this problem, I don't think it is as difficult as I thought. Thanks again.
