Please help me simplify this. Thanks! :D

1/(1/R + 1/R )

There is a 1 subscript for the 1st R and a subscript of 2 on the second R.

Substitue in some numbers for R1 and R2, I suggest you use primes, and evaluate the expression.

1/(1/R + 1/R )

See if this gives the same answer.

1/[(R(1) + R(2)]/[R(1)*R(2)]

= 1 * [R(1)*R(2)]/[(R(1) + R(2)]

... R(1) * R(2)
= -------------
... R(1) + R(2)

Hello, Muppers3262!

Please help me simplify this.

. . . . . . .1
. . . -------------
. . . . .1 . . .1
. . . . --- + ---
. . . . R1 . .R2
.
Multiply top and bottom by R1R2:

. . . . . . . . . . . . . R1R2
. . . and get: . ------------
. . . . . . . . . . . . R2 + R1
.
