A polynomial that has 8 turning points is multiplied by another polynomial that has 7 zeros. What is the minimum degree of the new polynomial?

I have tried and tried to figure this out!! Please help!!

A polynomial that has 8 turning points → What is the degree of this polynomial?

another polynomial that has 7 zeros→ What is the degree of this polynomial?

What are your thoughts?

What are your thoughts, after having reviewed this section in your textbook, having looked over your class notes, and having studied from online lessons such as (this)?

Please reply showing what you have tried. Thank you! ;)

When you say degree do you want the minimum? If so, the minimums are 9 and 8. This is where I am confused because with zeros and multiplication the answer is usually zero.....I know I'm probably not making alot of sense but I am trying.

I am a parent trying to help my daughter with this.
Over time, many of us have learned that attempting to tutor through a "translator" who doesn't actually speak the "language" is generally doomed to failure.

Kindly please have your daughter reply with her thoughts and efforts. Thank you! ;)

thanks anyway ;) she is already frustrated so I will just look for assistance elsewhere. Have a great day!

thanks anyway
All we're asking is that the actual student talk to the helpers here (who obviously are quite willing to try to help) and tell us what she's thinking and where she's confused. This is standard best practice. Are you saying that she has no interest in participating in the process at all?
