Well, OK, but I would have recommended u = 1 + e<sup>x</sup>. Give it a try and see if it's any easier or harder.
 
We should keep in mind that we may have written down the wrong problem statement. Were those parentheses in the denominator of the ORIGINAL problem statement? One must watch carefully.
