In an x-y coordinate system the point P is (0,-30). The polar coordinates of the point P are...

Magnitude = 30
Direction = - 90°
30 /_-90° is answer. Is this correct?

the coordinate in (r, theta) system would be (30, 3/2 *[pi])

That will do but the form should be (30,-90°) or (30,270°) or \(\displaystyle (30,\frac{3}{2}\pi)\) or \(\displaystyle (30,\frac{-\pi}{2})\)
