Hello - I'm new to this board - and physics. Could someone please tell me how to solve this problem. I know its probably pretty easy, but I don't know the formula, etc. "What's the speed after falling 70 meters using the acceleration of gravity?". Thanks for anyone's help.

v^2 = u^2 + 2as

where
v = final velocity (m/s)
u = initial velocity (m/s)
a = acceleation/ gravity (m/s^2)
s = displacement (m)

u= 0 , a =9.8 , s = 70 and the positive direction is down using these values

Put these in to the above equation and solve for v
