Hi, I'm new to pre-calculus so I'm having a lot of trouble with periodic functions of sine and cosine. I have an assignment due tomorrow on it, so fast help will be greatly appreciated! Also, because I'm really new to this, I would appreciate it if the explanation was very, very simple so that it's easier to understand!

The assignment is this: Find the average monthly temperatures for any worldwide city. (I chose Galway, and the temperature info can be found here: http://www.weather.com/outlook/trav...graph/EIXX0017?from=tenDay_bottomnav_business ) Using the data, write a periodic function for sine and a periodic function for cosine.

I'm confused as to what the period would be. If someone could please explain how to do that, I might be able to figure out the rest on my own.

I have not looked at your data. But common sense should tell you that the period should be 12 months. Every summer you should reach maximum average temperature and every winter minimum average temperature.
