Hi I have a problem that i can't work out how to solve.

I have the floor Area of a building and we want to put 75% of 40sqm apartments in it 25% of 70sqm apartments and 5% 120sqm apartments.

I just can't get my head around how to get the number of apartments for each class of apartment.

The total area of the building is 24,375sqm.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

The current statement of this homework problem is somewhat confusing. For instance, do they mean that 75% of the area is for 40-square-meter apartments, or that 75% of the apartments are to be of the 40-square-meter type? These are very different specifications. Also, how much of the area is to be set aside for hallways, stairwells, elevator columns, HVAC, etc?

When you reply, please include the full and exact text of the original exercise, the complete instructions, and a clear listing of your efforts so far. Thank you! ;)

75% + 25% + 5% = 105%
