Hello, I am trying to figure out how to calculate social security and medicare in my business math, the first problem
dan bevan married 1 ded prior YTD deductions 63,750 gross pay this period 1,275 so according to the info I am given ss tax is 6.2% on :?: the 1st 102,00 annual wages and MCR 1.45% on all wages. My 1st answer is 79.85 for the ss and then 18.49 for the mcr then the next question is deductions from the employees pay and it asked for SS, MCr and FIT and SIT. I have the answers in the back of the book but without knowing how to get them its useless. the answer to the SS and MCR 143.10 and then 63.75, what does that come from? :?:
