Did you understand the hint about the "multiplication pattern"? There are many different rules we can make up to create patterns, but math classes usually start with patterns you can create from simple steps you already know, for example, adding or subtracting the same number every time, or multiplying or dividing by the same number every time.
To figure out what rule is being applied, it's easiest to look at a group of consecutive numbers -- in this case: 192, 768, 3072. We could first try checking the difference between the numbers:
768 - 192 = 576
3072 - 768 = 2304
Since we got different answers, that means the rule is not to simply add the same number each time. Let's try something different. Let's divide each number by the number right before it:
768/192 = 4
3072/768 = 4
Aha! The answers are the same, so it looks as if we are on to something. Can you take it from here?
