how do i find the following missing term in each patterenzz?

1. 1, 3/2, _______, 7/8, 9/16. (the slash means fracttion)


2. 243, 324, 403, _____, 567

3. 234; ______ ; 23,481; 234,819; 2,348,200.

Of course, you mean ONE POSSIBLE missing term. Whoever gave you these problesm need sto come to grips with this concept. There are INFINITELY many possible answers to each of them. Your task is to pick the one that is wanted. If you can support your answer, there shou;d be full credit given.

The first one looks obvious enough. Consider numerator and denominator separately.

Numerator: 1, 3, ___, 7, 9
Denominator: 1, 2, ___, 8, 16

You get the idea...

The second, I am guessing is a typo. I'd go with 405 for the third number.

One the third, 2348 seems a good guess, but I can't find any simple analytic device to generate it.
