Orthogonal projection

I'm supposed to find the orthogonal projection of the given vector on the given subspace W of the the inner product space V. I found a final answer online, but I'm not getting it. The details of the problem are in the first line. Pay no attention to my old work in the scan.

P1 has dimension 2 and basis = {1,x}. I used Gram-Schmit and normalized this basis to get {1, x-(1/2)}. I then used the projection formula to get my vector. The form is similar to the final answer, but it's off by some scalar.
