Orthagonal??

Ok, what the heck does this crud mean. I don't mean to bother you guys. I know I could easily find this on a search engine, but you guys explain so much better. On my exam, I was asked to do some things to prove that something was orthogonal??? I don't remember the exact question, but I have NEVER seen anything about this before.

I'm pretty sure that its a fancy word for "perpindicular to".

That would have been VERY nice to know, lol. *smacks self* God, I'm such a dummy! I had no clue. When the heck did this word come about? The first time I ever saw it was on my EXAM!!! lol.
