Hi Sydney!

I have no idea what kind of response you're expecting by posting your homework.

You've left us in a position where we have to GUESS what you're thinking about order of operations. I have no idea what you want because you did not ask any questions. Are you trying to tell us that you don't understand your textbook?

(Also, you made typographical errors. (4+5)7(9)7 makes no sense.)

Since you've stated that you will "probably get it" after "a few", I'll give you a few to look at.

6 * 4 - 3 = 21

We do multiplication before subtraction, so this is 24 - 3.

7 - 8 + 2 * 7 = 13

We do multiplication before addition and subtraction, so this is 7 - 8 + 14.

2 + 3(7 - 1) = 20

We do operations inside of grouping symbols first, so this is 2 + 3(6).

We do multiplication before additions, so this is 2 + 18.

33(2 - 1) - 2(5 + 8) = 7

We do operations inside of grouping symbols first, so this is 33(1) - 2(13).

We do multiplication before subtraction, so this is 33 - 26

There ya go!

Please post specific questions if you would like some more help.

Cheers,

~ Mark :)
