Hello all,
As a adult returning to school I recently started Algebra 2 for the first time in 10 years through the Pearson Math Lab. For those of you who have gotten beyond Algebra 2 I'm wondering if this subject is a measure of the difficulty later on based on my perceived difficulty through the online environment. I'm forced to take only online classes as my work schedule is far too inflexible and unpredictable and notice how much more incredibly difficult topics are to cover than when compared to having a teacher or at the very least a tutor. I guess my question: Do any of you find the online system impeding your ability to learn? If so what have you done to help yourself learn?

Thank you!

If you are really serious about engineering - you have to know whole lot of mathematics. I know - I have worked as an engineer for ~26 yrs and am now teaching engineering at a college.

It is not a good idea to take on-line mathematics courses after a long hiatus. You said you are registered in a community college. Most of the colleges have free-tutoring services available. Take advantage of those. It is very difficult to learn mathematics long distance.
