I am studying the effects of oil spills on open water and I'm in over my head (so to speak). In reading a scientific paper, the researchers released a fixed volume of vegetable oil in the ocean off the Crimean coast. They repeated the experiment several times. The fixed volume of oil is stated to be 170 × 10−6 m3.

Can someone help me calculate this into liters or gallons? Thank you very much.

Do a google search: "Convert m^3 to gallon" or "Convert m^3 to liter"
