# of answers in this equation?

Hi how many answers would this trig equation have?

tan^2 2x-1 = 0

I got 4 answers when I did it by hand but when i put in on the grpahing calculaotr there were 8. Im not sure if I just typed the equation in wrong ont he calculator.

tan(2x)+1=0 and tan(2x)-1=0 each have 4 solutions in [0, 2pi) so I agree with your calculator.
