m is an odd integer...which equations is m odd and which equations is m even. Can you explain why? :)

You didn't give any equations? An integer is even whenever its multiplied by an even number and odd when multiplied by another odd number.

2m -1
2m+1
m2(the 2 is an exponent) -m
m2 (the 2 is an exponent) +m+1

I understand that concept but not sure how it applies to these problems.

PLEASE post (exponent) like this: m^2 ; NOT m2

2m - 1 and 2m + 1: ALWAYS odd, since 2m is even

m^2 - m = m(m - 1) : ALWAYS even, since multiplication is odd * even (or even * odd)

m^2 + m + 1 : ALWAYS odd, since m^2 + m is always even
