Hi,

I am from Croatia and I don't speak English to good, so maybe I'll have problems with math terminology, sorry! ;)

Tommorow I have final test from Math 3 (Numeric math) and I have a problem with one type of examples, so some help would be nice!

I'll try translate task to English:

Example1:

Discrete least squares method determine the coefficients a and b such that the approximation
function f(x) = x^2 + b + a|x| to passing point (-1, 1) and approximates the set of data (x, yk), blablabal.

I hope you understand it.

Example is not so hard, but my problem is in x which is in modul | |. Can somebody solve it?
