Ive just started a course in which I have to do math the booklet they gave me explains nothing how do I convert these to their simplest polynominal expression??? can someone please take me through the steps!!! 3x+5=9x^2 &

3x+24 over 3 =12x^2+3x

I have heaps of these to do PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE!!!!!

3x+5=9x^2
9x^2-3x-5=0
It isn't "friendly" so I would use the quadratic formula.
ax^2+bx+c=0
x=(-b+sqrt(b^2-4*a*c))/2a =
(-(-3)+sqrt(3^3-4*9*(-5))/18 =
(3+sqrt(189))/18
x=.93043 & -.5971

(3x+24)/3 = 12x^2+3x
Get rid of fractions by multiplying by 3
3x+24 = 36x^2+9x
36x^2+9x-3x-24 = 0
36x^2+6x-24 = 0
Divide by 6
6x^2+x-4 = 0
Not "friendly" again.

If you don't have the quadratic formula come back and we'll take a rocky road.
