How much acceleration is produced when a force oof 15 newtons is exerted on a 5kg object? Using Newton's 2nd Law of Motion, I have trouble determing how to set up problem which always sends me down the wrong road...

See my response to your other problem with the 2 kg mass. It's the same thing. Newton's 2nd Law is F = ma (which is equivalent to W = mg in your other problem). Just rearrange the equation to solve for acceleration: a = F/m.

Be careful about units (dimensions) of the variables. What would be the unit of acceleration when the force is in Newton and mass is in Kg?
