People grasping
Cocktail glasses
Stand in gasping,
Teeming masses.

Laughing, joking,
Smoking, drinking,
Coughing, choking,
Getting sinking.

Some discreetly
Boiled or fried,
Some completely
Ossified.

Liquor spilling,
Trousers sopping,
Steady swilling,
Bodies dropping.

Glass falling
On the floor,
People calling,
"Drop some more."

Bodies steaming,
Morals stretching,
Women screaming,
Some still fetching.

Heavy smoking,
Air get thicker.
Someone croaking,
"No more liquor!"

What? .WHAT?
NO MORE LIQUOR ??

People snicker,
Unbelieving.
Nor more liquor?
Let's be leaving.

No more drinking?
Groans and hisses!
What a stinking
Party this is!

Yes, modified, but by a writer that drank at least a 40pounder of rubbing alcohol since the original version :lol:

How's my headache? Well, I can only "remember" them now; off booze for over 23 years (24 years on Apr 8th).
But be advised that I drank enough before for at least 2 lifetimes!
I'd do things like buy Xmas booze in early December, drink it all by mid-Dec, then go buy again :shock:
In other words, I was a heavy contributor to the Canadian economy; but the %^$#*$@'s never thanked me :wink:
