I dont have alot of help with this so I am hoping someone here can give me a hand?

What is the equation for the line in standard form through the points (3,0) and (-2,3)?

1. 3x-5y=-9
2. 3x=5y=9
3.5x+3y=9
4. -3x-5y=9

Thanks a Bunch :D

Your equations all have an x and y variable.

All ordered-pairs are in the form (x,y)

Plug in to see if left side equals right side.

The first step will be to plug the two given points into the "slope" formula they gave you.

Then pick one of the points (it doesn't matter which one) and plug the x- and y-values, along with the value "m" you found (above), into whichever formula they gave you (I'm aware of three) for finding the straight-line equation.

Then manipulate the result to get whatever your book means by "standard form". (There is not, unfortunately, any standard meaning for the term "standard form".)

If you get stuck, please reply showing what you have tried, how far you have gotten, what formula(s) you are using, and what definition your book gives for "standard form".

Thank you.

Eliz.
