A person travels 134 miles from the town of Newville to the city of Ewee at an average speed of 65 mph and then returns home at a more leisurely 55 mph.
What was the average speed over the total distance covered?

i gotta try and work out this answer to two decimal places :/

Show your work, else we can't tell you if you're right or wrong...

Why did you post this in the "Business Math" section?
Was the person on a Business trip ?

Hint:

How much time did he take going up?

How much time did he take coming back?

What is the total time of travel?

What is the total distance travelled?

Now find the average speed = (total distance)/(total time)
