Hey, I’ve recently gotten a new investigation on trigonometry and I have no idea how to even start it. Apparently I have to try different triangles and put them into the table (keep in mind this is my teacher trying to make it easier). My whole class is stoked and nobody knows how to do this in any way. So, to whoever is able to help, make sure this is easy to understand because this is very new to me. Thank you to those who will be able to help ?

Do you know which angle you need to maximize? Do you know why you want to maximize it? Can you make a few drawings showing how this angle changes depending on the distance from the goal line?

First, I'm curious about your word "stoked". In my own mind (and my dictionary), it means "in an enthusiastic or exhilarated state". That isn't what you sound like ...

I've seen this sort of problem before, and it is a good one. What I'd like you to do is to do just what it says. First, "Interpret the task and gather the key information." That is, tell me in your own words what the goal is, and what facts you have to start with. Draw labeled pictures to make it easier to talk clearly about the task.

Then just brainstorm on paper -- tell me any ideas you have that might be relevant.
