The Zero Product Property says this:

If the product of two or more real numbers is 0, then at least ONE of those real numbers must be equal to 0.

Or,

If a*b = 0, then a = 0, or b = 0.

Here's an example of how you USE the Zero Product Property.

Suppose you know that

(x + 3)(x - 5) = 0

How would you solve that for x? Well, according to the Zero Product Property, we know that

x + 3 = 0 OR x - 5 = 0

Solve each of those equations, to get

x = -3 OR x = 5

Try that on your problem, and let us see what you get!
