6y^3 - 5y^2 - 12y - 17/3y + 2

This text may need disambiguation.

As posted above, your typed expression means the following.

\(\displaystyle 6y^3 \; -\; 5y^2 \;-\; 12y \;-\; \frac{17}{3} y \;+\; 2\)

If you intended to type an algebraic ratio only, then you need to show this by enclosing both the numerator and denominator within grouping symbols.

Please check your typing, and make any necessary corrections. Please provide the instructions that come with this exercise. Let us know why you're stuck or show us what you've done thus far. Finally, check out the post titled, "Read Before Posting". Cheers 8-)
