What are the steps to obtain the derivative of r = ? / ?.
My answer key shows dr = 1/? d?.

You can use the quotient rule.

\(\displaystyle r=\frac{\theta}{\pi}\)

\(\displaystyle dr=\frac{{\pi}\cdot d{\theta}-{\theta}(0)}{{\pi}^{2}}=\frac{d{\theta}}{\pi}\)

Remember that ? is a constant. d/dø (kø) = k dø

I am using ø instead of theta, because I don't know how to type theta.

Try LaTex, eddie. It's easy.

\(\displaystyle {\pi}, \;\ \phi, \;\ gamma, \;\ \delta, \;\ \xi, \;\ \eta\).

Click on 'quote' to see the code. Nothing to it.

Me, I do not know how without it.
