So here's my problem:
x+2/4 - x-1/3 =x-10
Do I start by multiplying both of the left fractions to get a common denominator of 12?
I have- 3x+6-4x-4 /12 =x-10
Then I simplify to get -x+2/12=x-10
Then I am stuck. I thought I should multiply by 12 to get rid of the fraction- -x+2=12x-120
I try to simplify from there, but the answer I get isn't right. What step am I going wrong??
Thanks!!
